Xugana Island Lodge is situated on a wooded island in the Xugana Lagoon. This Botswana lodge is located in a private concession in the heart of the permanent waters of the Okavango Delta, Botswana.

Guests arriving from Camp Moremi or Camp Okavango can do so by boat transfer and experience the Okavango Delta up close. Visits to the heron breeding areas on Gadikwe and Xakanaxa lagoons are included in the transfer from Camp Moremi. This also includes possible opportunities to see other potential wildlife sightings along the way.

Guests can be transferred by air from Kasane and Maun. Guests travelling from Livingstone or Victoria Falls will be transferred by road to Kasane, where they will then be transferred to Xugana Island Lodge by air. Private air charters can also be arranged on request.

Airstrip Co-ordinates

Xugana airstrip (private registered): 19.04S 23.04E. The airstrip is 900 metres long with a grass surface. It is suitable for single-engined aircraft with a maximum all-up weight of 2 300 kg. Twin-engined aircraft are not allowed to land at Xugana without permission from the DCA.
