Camp Moremi is situated on the scenic Xakanaxa Lagoon in the eastern edge of the Okavango Delta in the Moremi Game Reserve, Botswana. Guests can choose to either self drive or fly in to Camp Moremi. Charter flights are available from Kasane and Maun. Guests staying in Livingstone or Victoria Falls can be transferred to Kasane by road before departing on a charter flight.
Guests wishing to self drive should note that they will need a 4x4 vehicle equipped to handle rather rugged conditions. Directions are not easy to navigate to Camp Moremi and this option is only recommended for seasoned travellers with comprehensive off road driving experience.
Airstrip Info
The dirt airstrip is 800 metres long and its condition varies. Twin-engined aircraft are not allowed to land at Xakanaxa without permission from the DCA. Maximum weight: 2 300 kg. Maximum aircraft size recommended: Cessna 206. Please check with your travel agent regarding luggage restrictions.
