Day and night game drives for spectacular viewing
Leroo La Tau means footprints of the lion indeed these magnificent animals and many other predators and prey can be seen on game drives day and night into the wilderness on a safari in Botswana.
On a Botswana safari at Leroo La Tau, guests can see the huge contrast in seasons and landscapes which make this area of the Makgadikgadi so attractive to both large herds and predators. The wet season triggers an amazing transformation, many animals and birds migrate here in November.
Lion, zebra and wildebeest are found here, also Leopard, Cheetah, Brown and Spotted Hyena, Jackal and Kudu. Smaller animals include Chobe Bushbuck, Impala, Porcupine, Genet and Caracal, to mention only some of the species.
The rare White Rhino may also be seen. Most unique are the Crocodiles and a pod of Hippo who manage to survive here in very difficult conditions and have done so for over 12 years.
Leroo La Tau overlooks a remarkable waterhole in the dried up riverbed of a once beautiful river, desert animals congregate here, especially in the dry season. In the evenings, guests can sit alongside a welcoming fire, looking down from 15 metres above this spectacle.
This Botswana safari lodge is a glass, wood and thatch structure with a lounge, dining area and bar, there is also a pool next to the main building, and guests can often see Wildebeest and Zebra around the grounds of the lodge whilst enjoying a swim.
