Days 1 & 2: Savute Safari Lodge

Departing from Maun: On arrival at Maun Airport you will be met by a Desert & Delta Safaris representative and assisted onto your charter flight to Savute Safari Lodge.

Departing from Victoria Falls: On arrival at Victoria Falls Airport a Desert & Delta Safaris representative will meet you for your road transfer to Kasane Airport, where you will be assisted onto your charter flight to Savute Safari Lodge.

Enjoy 2 nights at Savute Safari Lodge, situated on the banks of the now dry Savute channel, part of the dynamic Savute eco system renowned for its large concentration of elephant and large lion prides, on a fully inclusive basis.

Savute Safari Lodge comprises of 12 twin-bedded luxury wood, thatch and glass safari suites, ideal for the hot and dry conditions. Double volume suites with their spacious interior and large, glass sliding doors sets the lodge apart from typical safari accommodation. Large private viewing decks and en-suite facilities, with walk in showers combine to make Savute Safari Lodge an unforgettable experience.

Other facilities include a lounge, library and cocktail bar, which is situated in the exquisite thatch and timber main building, while in front there is a viewing deck ideal for watching game at the water hole. The lodge houses the dining room in a separate building, which can double up as a conference room sitting up to twenty delegates. The lodge also has a swimming pool on a raised wooden teak deck overlooking the channel, affording guests to watch game while swimming!

Take pleasure in 2 full days of morning and afternoon game activities, which include:

• Game drives by open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Savute area, including the Savute Marsh; and
  
• Visit the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills.

Days 3 & 4: Xugana Island Lodge

Today you will be transferred by road to Savute's airstrip for your charter flight to Xugana Island Lodge, a breathtaking journey to the heart of the Okavango Delta. Enjoy 2 nights at Xugana Island Lodge, situated in the Xugana Lagoon, part of Xugana private concession, which is widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta, on a fully inclusive basis.

Xugana Island Lodge comprises of 8 large raised reed and thatch chalets situated on the shaded fringe of the Island, each with a lagoon view through the lagoon-side vegetation. The recently refurbished chalets have twin beds, en-suite facilities, with walk in showers, overhead fans and a private deck.

Other facilities include an open boma and al fresco dining area facing out over the expanse of pristine water that makes up the permanent Delta. The lounge, bar and dining areas are set back under the fig and leadwood tree canopy in open sided thatched areas.  The swimming pool, located amongst the mature gardens located in the center of the island is a perfect place to relax.

Take pleasure in 2 full days of morning and afternoon game activities, which include:

• Exploring the Okavango by canoe (mokoro) and motorboat;
  
• Fishing opportunities; and
  
• Guided nature walks on the various islands afford an opportunity to track some of the larger species that inhabit this water wilderness.

Day 5: Xugana Island Lodge to Kasane Airport

Terminating in Maun: After breakfast, you will be transferred by motorboat to Xugana Island Lodge's airstrip for your charter flight to Maun, for your onward arrangements.

Terminating in Victoria Falls: After breakfast, you will be transferred by motorboat to Xugana Island Lodge's airstrip for your charter flight to Kasane Airport, where a Desert & Delta Safaris representative will meet you for your road transfer to Victoria Falls Airport for your onward arrangements.
