Days 1 & 2:Upon arrival at Maun or Kasane you will be met by a Desert and Delta Safaris representative who will assist you onto your private air charter flight to Xugana Island Lodge.
Enjoy 2 nights at Xugana Island Lodge, situated in the Xugana Lagoon, part of Xugana private concession, which is widely accepted as being the most spectacular permanent water site in the entire Okavango Delta, on a fully inclusive basis. Xugana Island Lodge comprises of 8 large raised reed and thatch chalets situated on the shaded fringe of the Island, each with a lagoon view through the lagoon-side vegetation. The recently refurbished chalets have twin beds, en-suite facilities, with walk in showers, overhead fans and a private deck.
Other facilities include an open boma and al fresco dining area facing out over the expanse of pristine water that makes up the permanent Delta. The lounge, bar and dining areas are set back under the fig and leadwood tree canopy in open sided thatched areas. The swimming pool, located amongst the mature gardens in the center of the island is a perfect place to relax. Take pleasure in 2 full days of morning and afternoon game activities, which include:
- Exploring the Okavango by canoe (mokoro) and motorboat;
- Fishing opportunities;
- Guided nature walks on the various islands offer an opportunity to track some of the larger species that inhabit this water wilderness.
Day 3: Transfer to Kasane AirportTerminating in Maun: After breakfast, you will be transferred by motorboat to Xugana Island Lodge's airstrip for your charter flight to Maun, for your onward arrangements.
Terminating in Kasane: After breakfast, you will be transferred by motorboat to Xugana Island Lodge's airstrip for your charter flight to Kasane Airport. Included:
